Brianna is originally from Upstate New York, moved to Georgia for about 12 years, then relocated back to New York in 2009. She met her husband in 2015. They quickly started their life together by getting engaged and shortly after finding out they were expecting a baby girl, who was born in August 2016.
After experiencing a traumatic birth herself, Brianna knew she wanted to support birthing people and their families. The following April she completed her training and began her journey as a doula.
Brianna's ultimate goal is to provide the birthing person a positive experience and make them feel empowered, well-respected, supported, and encouraged during pregnancy and childbirth.
Brianna’s philosophy is that every birthing person and their family should be informed about their options and rights surrounding birth, and she will work to ensure you are as informed as possible. She believes that every birthing person and their family is unique. Her role as your doula is to learn about you and your family, support your values, desires, preferences, and needs so as to provide the best and most individualized care you deserve. Brianna believes each and every person deserves to feel respected, supported, encouraged, and to be at peace with their birth.
Brianna is DONA trained Birth Doula, She also carries her ServSafe food handlers certification for Placenta Encapsulation and is training with APPA for her Bloodborne Pathogen certification and to become a Placenta Arts Specialist.
